Profile

Welcome to my website! I'm Chris Azuaje, a UNC Charlotte grad student with various passions such as developing software, anything automotive, and operating my detail business. As a student I am highly motivated to improve my technical skillset and earn outstanding grades.

I originally pursued Mechanical Engineering as an undergrad which was an insightful and challenging journey. Though I did learn a lot in that field of study, I was unprepared to be a responsible student which resulted in mediocre grades. As a result, I transferred to the Mechanical Engineering Technology program which is more application-based studies which includes mechanisms, energy systems, design, manufacturing, instrumentation, and hands-on laboratories.

Subsequent to my undergraduate pursuits, I embarked on a self-reflecting international gap year and in time decided to tinker with code due to its seemingly progressive, creative, and versatile nature. I began learning on my own in Thailand through insightful mentors and taking reputable classes via online learning platforms such as Udemy and Coursera. Eventually after returning to the States, I decided to attend graduate courses back at UNCC which was a momentous decision given my undergraduate experience. But this time, with integrity and perseverance.

Learning how to code has been and continues to be an exciting endeavor in and out of the classroom. I am eager to prove to myself and others that I can apply my coding knowledge and life experiences to contribute and excel in a production environment.
